Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program
Program Objective
Day Program & Evening Program Option
The Bear Professional Institute’s Nursing Assistant Program is a six-week course designed to teach and prepare nursing assistant students to safely perform the basic nursing skills needed to work under the supervision of a licensed/ registered nurse in a health care setting. The program curriculum covers areas such as, fundamentals of nursing, anatomy and physiology, infection control, and psychosocial needs, to name a few.
Upon Completion of the program, the Nursing Assistant will be able to implement skills learned throughout the program in a health care setting, and demonstrate preparedness to take the Delaware State Nursing Assistant Certification Exam.

Day program
Program Days - Monday -Friday

Class/Lab Hours – 8:30am to 2pm
Clinical days – Monday thru Friday
Clinical Hours – 7am to 3:30 pm
Program length – 6 weeks

Evening Program (Unavailable at This Time)
Program days- Monday -Friday
Class/Lab Hours – 4pm to 9:30pm
Clinical days – Monday thru Friday
Clinical Hours – 3pm to 11:30pm
Program length – 6 weeks

Home Health Aide Program 

The bear professional institute’s Home Health Aide program is a three-week course designed to teach and prepare Home Health Aide Training students to safely perform the basic nursing skills needed to work under the supervision of a licensed/ registered nurse in a Client care setting (Home). The program curriculum covers areas such as, Orientation to Home Care, Home Care Procedures, Managing the Home Environment and Meeting the Client’s Special Needs, to name a few. 

Program Objectives

Upon Completion of the program, the Home Health Aide will be able to implement skills learned throughout the program in a client care setting, and demonstrate preparedness to serve this client population competently.

BPI CNA program runs for 6 weeks, the first four weeks we spend it in the class room and lab, while the last two weeks we spend at a long term care facility.
